Big Top Garden Party

30 June 2018

MORE than 120 people attended the Big Top annual summer party at The Grange Retirement Home.

We held the annual celebration for residents, their families and friends in our beautiful garden in glorious sunshine.

Guests were welcomed into the Big Top Party by a beautiful ring master on stilts, Shelly even catching the attention of passes by who waved.

An extravagant spread of food was crafted by Chef and his amazing Team, Residents, Families and Friends enjoyed the wide selection of food from, Hog Roast to Burgers and even fresh salads.

Residents favourite Terry Gleed performed a lively fun showcase, his talent of getting everybody involved shone through. Terry dressed to impress is a smashing clown suit.

Shelly Stunned residents and guests with a beautiful circus inspired routine, she walked the length of the garden making sure nobody missed out. Shelly was a great addition to the Big Top theme she took time to inspire the younger guests we had by showing them how she dances.

Residents, staff and families came together and danced way into the evening, Terry happily stayed on extra to keep the party going. One resident singing 'your never walk alone' for one and all.

The Garden Tepee ran a great bar again this year, serving beer, wine, Pimm's as well as an array of soft drinks, the slush puppy machine was a great hit and new addition to the bar this year, resident, adults, children and staff all enjoyed the ice cold treat on such a warm sunny day.
Circus themed games were all around the garden and were hand made by our activity Team, Splat the Rat was a new game for many, Coconut Shy and Tin Can Alley where favourites of many of the children as they took it in turns and worked in teams to help each other out.
